Taking It To The Next Level-getting A Real Estate Broker's License
Being an active real estate agent for the last 5 years has been a great career for me. Now I have decided to take things to the next level and go to real estate school to obtain my real estate broker's license. The state where I live requires 60 hours of class time and a state exam as well. I have had a great 5 years as an agent and now, with my real estate broker's license I think I will enjoy the work even more.
My real goal is to open my own office and hire agents to work for me. There are risks involved in being a broker. Things like having to insure your agents and being responsible for the contracts that they write. I am a bit nervous about taking on all of the pressure and stress associated with having a real estate broker's license but with all of that comes a lot of perks as well. Getting thru the licensing process and taking the required courses will help me to feel that I am ready for the challenge at hand.
Going for my real estate broker's license feels right for me. I like being an agent but my goal it to be my own boss and set my own rules. Having agents that bring me listings and commissions is exciting. At the present time the housing market is a little slow so now seems like a good time to go for my real estate broker's license. My broker is totally supportive of my lofty goal and has offered me her help and support while I go for my real estate broker's license. I will be picking her brain when it comes time for me to open my own office and hire my own agents.
Getting a real estate broker's license is well within my grasp. I have decided to attend the same real estate school that I got my sales license from because I liked the teachers and I felt they were very professional. I remember they were very specific about the information that was important. That will be helpful for studying for the broker's license test.
